Jakarta. Badan Perlindungan Pekerja Migran Indonesia (BP2MI) is again releasing Pekerja Migran Indonesia (PMI) for the Government to Government (G to G) program in South Korea. This time, as many as 524 PMIs will be dispatched to the country of ginseng. The release ceremony was carried out by the Chairman of DPP Gebu Minang, Oesman Sapta Odang (OSO), witnessed by the Head of BP2MI, Benny Rhamdani, and the President Director of Pos Indonesia, Faizal R. Djoemadi, at the El Royal Hotel in North Jakarta on Monday, February 13, 2023.
"Today, with pride, I legally release 524 PMI to be dispatched to South Korea and 139 who take part in preliminary. "Goodbye," OSO said on Monday (13/2/2023) at the El Royal Hotel in North Jakarta.
Hundreds of PMIs who will soon be dispatched to South Korea come from various regions, ranging from Java to Sulawesi Island.
Benny Rhamdani said he was proud of the young people from remote villages who struggled to achieve a beautiful future and dreams. "The year 2022 is the best achievement for the placement because it has exceeded the target of placing PMI in South Korea. The interest and enthusiasm of the community are extraordinary. Because the placement of PMI has become an idol," he said.
Benny said that PMI has now been given a special place. PMI has risen in status, equal to important people in this country. The degree of PMI is the same as that of diplomatic officials. PMI are great people. This can be seen from the various facilities provided specifically for PMI, such as lounges for PMI at the airport to rest while waiting for flights or waiting to be picked up by family, special immigration lanes (fast track) for PMI that have been available for diplomatic passport holders and flight crews, and credential letters like the credentials usually received by Ambassadors during official assignments, as a form of respect from the Indonesian government to users so that it is hoped that users will treat PMI the same way. As well as financing facilities through Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) and Kredit Tanpa Agunan (KTA) for PMI, in 2023, various breakthroughs will continue to be provided for PMI. They will be provided with subsidized housing and can make cheap installments. Not only that, there will be a regulation on the exemption of goods for PMI," said Benny.
On this occasion, Benny also advised PMI to help the government by inviting their families and closest colleagues to avoid illegal placements because the risks are very large, such as physical violence, visual violence, unpaid salaries, and so on.
Meanwhile, Faizal Rochmad Djoemadi, who was also present at the PMI release, said that PT Pos Indonesia is ready to help the interests of PMI. "We guarantee that the goods you send, God willing, will arrive in front of your house. PT Pos Indonesia also wants to help the program for PMI by providing installments for PMI houses," he concluded.
