Handling of Pos Indonesia Ships to China, Hong Kong and Macao

Bandung, 7 February 2020 - The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared Corona Virus an emergency status and is of global concern. This has an impact on logistics activities internationally, especially for shipments that pass through China or go to China. To anticipate this, Pos Indonesia has issued the following International Pos service policies:

a. China destination
Items sent to China Post can only be accepted using EMS and Export Post services, except the Hubei Province region (code post 430000-449999) absolutely cannot accept shipments. However, there may be delays in submission of shipments due to reduced frequency of flights to China, and the China Post does not deliver directly (the recipient picks up at the agreed location).

b. Hong Kong destination
Since the Hongkong Post has submitted a postponement of the shipment process to and from Hong Kong, the Hong Kong-bound items can only be accepted using the Express Mail Service (EMS) and Export Post services.

c. The destination of Macao
Because the shipments destined for Macao are made via transit to the Hong Kong Post, shipments destined for Macao can only be accepted using EMS and Export Post services.

Pos Indonesia Management submitted an apology for the possible delay caused by these conditions. This international service arrangement is enforced until further notice.
