Beware of Fraud in the Name of TASPEN, Don't Be Easily Fooled

Waspadai Penipuan Mengatasnamakan TASPEN, Jangan Mudah Terkecoh

Jakarta, July 14, 2025 – PT TASPEN (Persero) urges the public, especially social security program participants, to increase their vigilance against various fraud schemes that use TASPEN's name. These scams often target digitally vulnerable retirees and civil servants, utilizing instant messaging, telephone calls, and email.

As information technology advances, fraudsters are becoming increasingly adept at exploiting digital gaps. In recent weeks, TASPEN has received several reports regarding the spread of false information, fake websites, and requests for personal data that threaten participant security.

The following fraud schemes have been identified and are currently prevalent:

  1. Pension Distribution Only through Post Office

This information is incorrect. TASPEN currently collaborates with 44 payment partners, including 43 banks and one post office. Participants are free to choose the payment partner they prefer.

  1. Verification and Update of Personal Data

Fraudsters pose as TASPEN employees and send fake links to update data. These links often redirect participants to websites that mimic official apps and are used to steal personal data.

  1. Promise of Increased Allowances or Dividend Bonuses

The perpetrators offered bonuses or pension increases with the promise of funds being disbursed through a specific link. In reality, this was a hacking attempt.

  1. Fake Letters of Assignment and Circulars

Fake documents with fake logos, letterheads, and signatures are used to convince victims to follow certain instructions, even at the threat of termination of benefits.

  1. Refund Mode

TASPEN confirms that it never asks participants to return any funds. All services are provided free of charge.

PT TASPEN (Persero) President Director, Rony Hanityo Aprianto, expressed his concern over the increasing number of digital fraud cases targeting retirees. "We continue to strengthen our information security systems and promote digital literacy education to protect participant rights," said Rony.

TASPEN encourages participants to remain vigilant by implementing the following three protective measures:

1. Hold – Analyze Before Acting

Don't immediately respond to suspicious messages. Be wary of exaggerated promises, emotional pressure, or invitations to open unclear links.

2. Make Sure – Verify Before Trusting
