Pos Indonesia Supports Simultaneous Affordable Food Movement in 7,285 Districts

Jakarta, August 30, 2025 – PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) expressed its full support for the Affordable Food Movement (GPM) program, held by the Ministry of Agriculture in collaboration with other ministries and institutions at the Ministry of Agriculture Headquarters in Ragunan, South Jakarta, on Saturday (August 30).

The event, opened by the Minister of Agriculture, was held simultaneously in 7,285 sub-districts across Indonesia as an effort to maintain stable staple food prices, increase food affordability for the public, and suppress potential inflation, particularly for strategic commodities.

Present on behalf of Pos Indonesia was Acting President Director Endy P. R. Abdurrahman, accompanied by Director of Courier & Logistics Business Tonggo Marbun. The presence of Pos Indonesia's leadership demonstrated the company's commitment to supporting the government's efforts to distribute affordable food to the public.

"As a state-owned enterprise with the broadest distribution network, reaching remote areas across the country, Pos Indonesia is ready to support the government's strategic food logistics distribution program. Our presence in the Affordable Food Movement demonstrates Pos Indonesia's contribution to maintaining national food security," said Endy P. R. Abdurrahman, Acting President Director of Pos Indonesia.

In addition to attending video conferences with representatives from 10 regions and conducting site visits to the GPM arena, Pos Indonesia is also ready to optimize its logistics, warehousing, and land and air transportation services to support the distribution of affordable food throughout the country.

Pos Indonesia's Courier & Logistics Business Director, Tonggo Marbun, added: "Pos Indonesia has a strong last-mile distribution network and logistics services that can be utilized to expedite the movement of this affordable food. With an integrated logistics system, we are committed to ensuring that people in various regions, including remote areas, can benefit from this program."

The Affordable Food Movement is expected to not only help people obtain affordable food but also strengthen synergy between the government, state-owned enterprises, and all stakeholders in achieving sustainable food security.
