PosIND and Bank Muamalat Launch Hajj Savings Service at Post Offices

PosIND dan Bank Muamalat Luncurkan Layanan Tabungan Haji di Kantor Pos

Jakarta, June 18, 2025 - PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) PosIND together with PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk officially launched the Hajj Pilgrims Savings Account (RTJH) opening service at more than 4,800 Post Offices and hundreds of thousands of Post Agents spread throughout Indonesia.

PosIND Financial Services Director Haris explained that this collaboration opens wider access to inclusive hajj registration, even for people in remote areas. This initiative is part of PosIND's efforts to strengthen retail-based sharia financial services.

With the presence of RTJH in the PosIND network, people no longer need to visit a bank office to open an account and get a hajj portion number. "With a wide network of Post Offices and Agenpos, we want to ensure that people everywhere can register for hajj easily, safely, and in accordance with sharia. This service will continue to be developed and is also available on the Pospay Mobile application," said Haris.

This step strengthens the strategic partnership between PosIND and Bank Muamalat, which previously provided cash deposit and withdrawal services (cash in/ cash out/ CICO) as well as logistics cooperation. All RTJH services at the Post Office are now digitally integrated through the PosIND and Bank Muamalat systems.

Bank Muamalat President Director Imam Teguh Saptono said, RTJH service in PosIND network directly facilitates access to open bank accounts and opening hajj accounts to get validation numbers to register for hajj. "Through this easy and fast customer onboarding service, we hope that more people can save and get hajj portion numbers early on," said Imam.

The financial products offered by Bank Muamalat together with PosIND this time are iB Hijrah Savings based on wadiah agreement without administration fees and an initial deposit of IDR 100,000. Then RTJH with an initial deposit of IDR 25 million plus a minimum balance of IDR 100,000 to get a hajj portion number from the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia.

People who want to open iB Hijrah Savings or make an initial hajj deposit using RTJH can come to the nearest Post office counter. The account opening process at the Post Office begins with email and mobile phone number verification to receive a verification code, then input personal data and face recognition. After that, officers at the Post Office validate the data. After the process is successful, customers will receive a receipt as official proof of account opening.

With the presence of this service in the Post Office network, Agenpos, and in the near future in Pospay Mobile, the community now has a closer and more efficient solution to prepare for the Hajj pilgrimage according to sharia principles. This collaboration supports the mission of both institutions in expanding national sharia financial inclusion and literacy.
