PosIND and BTN Officially Rebrand BTNPOS, Expanding Access to National Financial Services

Bandung, January 9, 2025 – PosIND, together with Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN), officially launched the rebranding of its e'Batarapos savings service to BTNPOS as part of the BTN POS Festival. This launch marks a strategic step for both state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in strengthening collaboration to expand access to financial services for the public through the post office network across Indonesia.

Acting President Director of PosIND, Haris, stated that the collaboration between PosIND and BTN has been in place for a long time and continues to evolve to meet community needs. "The collaboration between BTN and Pos has been a long-standing one, with its ups and downs, and today we culminate in the rebranding of the service to BTNPOS," Haris said.

Haris added that at the same time, PosIND and BTN also launched the Cash In Cash Out (CICO) service, which allows BTN users to deposit and withdraw funds directly at post offices. "Through the CICO service, people can now conduct banking transactions at post offices. These are just two of the major collaboration scenarios that we will continue to push forward between BTN and Pos," he explained.

BTN President Director Nixon LP Napitupulu explained that this synergy combines the strengths of BTN's banking products with PosIND's extensive distribution network. "BTN has the products, Pos has the channels. We entrust BTN products to PosIND, from savings accounts, Cash In Cash Out, to mortgage payment transactions, especially in areas far from BTN branches," said Nixon.

According to Nixon, PosIND is a strategic partner because it is present in nearly every sub-district in Indonesia. "PosIND is present in almost every sub-district and is very strategic from an operational standpoint. Our target is for BTNPOS savings to reach IDR 5 trillion within the next year, and we will strongly promote this in the regions," he added.

In addition to strengthening financial services, this activity also included the distribution of humanitarian aid to Rumah Zakat for disaster-affected communities in Sumatra. "We hope this assistance can help ease the burden on our brothers and sisters affected by the disaster and accelerate recovery so that life can return to normal," said Haris.

Through the rebranding of BTNPOS and the development of CICO services, PosIND and BTN are optimistic that this collaboration will strengthen national financial inclusion, provide more accessible banking services, and emphasize PosIND's role as a strategic partner in the distribution of financial services throughout the archipelago.
