Strengthening National Food Security, PosIND Ensures More Equitable Distribution of Livestock Products to the People

Jakarta, September 11, 2025 – PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) or PosIND has established a partnership with the Directorate General of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health, Ministry of Agriculture, to strengthen the distribution of livestock products throughout Indonesia.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by the Acting President Director of PosIND, Endy P. R. Abdurrahman, and the Director General of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health, Agung Suganda. Also present was the Director of Courier and Logistics Business at PosIND, Tonggo Marbun.

This collaboration covers courier and logistics services, utilization of the Post Office network, data and information exchange, and human resource capacity building. The MoU is valid for five years until September 3, 2030, and can be extended by mutual agreement.

PosIND plays a strategic role in supporting the livestock sector through:

- First-Middle-Last Mile Logistics: distribution of livestock vaccines, livestock products (frozen semen, livestock seeds, etc.), documents and certificates, livestock feed, and livestock embryos to remote areas of the country.

- Cold Chain & Handling: cold chain delivery support for sensitive products such as vaccines and livestock embryos that require stable temperatures.

- A network of over 22,000 service points: Strengthening distribution speed while ensuring product safety.

Acting President Director of PosIND, Endy P. R. Abdurrahman, emphasized:

"As a logistics company with the most extensive network in Indonesia, PosIND is ready to support the efficient distribution of livestock products from producers to consumers. This collaboration not only strengthens the supply chain but also has a positive impact on livestock businesses and ensures products are more accessible to the public."

Through this synergy, PosIND and the Directorate General of Livestock and Animal Health are optimistic about strengthening national food security, accelerating the distribution of livestock products, and delivering tangible benefits to communities throughout Indonesia.
