Targeting 8.7 Million Formal Workers, Wage Subsidy Assistance (BSU) Begins July 3, 2025
Jakarta, July 2, 2025 — The Indonesian government through a collaboration between the Ministry of Manpower, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, and PT Pos Indonesia will begin distributing the 2025 Wage Subsidy Assistance (BSU) simultaneously on Thursday, July 3, 2025. This program targets around 8.7 million active workers who are economically impacted. The 2025 BSU is a form of continued government assistance that aims to maintain the purchasing power of formal sector workers with incomes below IDR 3,500,000.00 who are not covered by other social assistance such as PKH, Kartu Prakerja, or BPUM. Haris, Director of Financial Services Business at PT Pos Indonesia said, "the distribution of the 2025 BSU uses an open payment system and can be checked through the Pospay application". This allows recipients of assistance to withdraw funds throughout the Post Office network in Indonesia without having to come to a specific location. In addition, checking the status of aid recipients can also be done by visiting the bsu.kemnaker.go.id, bsu.bpjsketenagakerjaan.go.id sites, or can be easily checked through the Pospay application.
BSU funds can be withdrawn through Post Offices spread throughout Indonesia. In addition to the Post Office, Pos Indonesia also provides a BSU distribution system through communities to companies where recipients work. This aims to make it easier for recipients to collect BSU without having to go all the way to the Post Office. In addition, in order to maintain its commitment as an agency that serves the entire country to remote areas, Pos Indonesia also provides the Pos Giro Cash (PGC) application as a solution for payments in locations with poor signal or even unreachable by the internet network. Pos Indonesia even provides delivery services by special Post officers, who are assigned to deliver to recipients who have limitations or are prevented due to certain special conditions when paying BSU.
Wage Subsidy Assistance can be collected by BSU recipients by bringing several requirements, including the original e-KTP and the BSU Digital QR code. Recipients who are constrained by the original e-KTP (for example, there is a difference in the spelling of the name or e-KTP number), can use the BPJSTK Card and a Certificate from the Company as supporting identification for the original e-KTP.
"The distribution of BSU 2025 is a momentum to increase financial inclusion, in addition to encouraging people's purchasing power. However, the public must remain careful, because this momentum is also not free from the targets of irresponsible parties," concluded Haris when monitoring the first day of BSU payments. So the public is advised to remain vigilant against fraud in the name of the BSU program. Therefore, the public should access information related to BSU through official channels that have been determined by the Ministry of Manpower and download the Pospay application on the Google Play Store or App Store.
