The Indonesian Minister of Communication and Digital Inspects the Bali Post Office to Ensure Readiness for Direct Cash Assistance Distribution and Support for MSMEs
Bali, November 2, 2025 – The Minister of Communication and Digital of the Republic of Indonesia, Meutya Hafid, paid a working visit to the Blahkiuh Sub-Branch Post Office in Badung Regency, Bali Province. This visit was part of a review of the Universal Postal Service (LPU) network, which spearheads PosIND's service to remote areas of Indonesia.
The Minister of Communication and Digital was warmly welcomed by the Director General of Digital Ecosystems at the Ministry of Communication and Digital, Edwin Hidayat Abdullah; the Director of Post & Broadcasting at the Ministry of Communication and Digital, Gunawan Hutagalung; the Acting President Director of PosIND, Haris; and the Director of Business Development & Portfolio Management, Prasabri Pesti.
The visit aimed to assess PosIND's readiness to distribute the Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) for People's Welfare program, which is part of the 2025 economic policy package. This program, under the direct direction of President Prabowo Subianto, was officially launched on October 17, 2025, at the Cikini Post Office in Jakarta.
The government is targeting the Cash Assistance (BLT) program to reach 35 million beneficiary families (KPM), or approximately 140 million people across Indonesia. Of this number, PosIND is entrusted with distributing aid to 17 to 18 million KPM, making PosIND's role highly strategic in accelerating the disbursement of government aid to the community.
The Post Office symbolizes the 2,400 Universal Postal Service (LPU) points spread throughout Indonesia—from urban areas to the 3T (Disadvantaged, Frontier, and Outermost) areas—as "the government's accomplices" in reaching the lowest levels of society.
On the same occasion, PosIND also distributed Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) Assistance in the form of a Business Development Program for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) fostered by PosIND in Bali. The assistance was symbolically handed over by the Minister of Communication and Digital, Meutya Hafid, accompanied by Edwin Hidayat Abdullah and Haris.
The Acting President Director of PosIND, Haris, stated that Pos Indonesia continues to strengthen its social and economic role through a service network that reaches all levels of society.
"We are committed to ensuring that all government assistance is distributed quickly, accurately, and transparently, even to remote areas. Through synergy with the Ministry of Communication and Digital, we also continue to promote the digitalization of services so that the public can enjoy convenience in transactions, logistics, and business development," said Haris.
This TJSL assistance demonstrates Pos Indonesia's commitment to supporting the people's economic growth, strengthening the competitiveness of MSMEs, and encouraging digital transformation of businesses through various services such as Pos UMKM Go Digital, PosPay, and MSME Logistics Services.
